Chairman of the Board

Robert like many back in the day started his career in construction at an early age (12). He spent his early days running equipment and managing projects until he took over as President in 1974. Over the next two decades Robert spearheaded the diversification into concrete breaking and crushing. Reilly Construction under his guidance was instrumental in the Iowa Department of Transportation’s movement towards highway concrete recycling. Robert has been a very active advocate of the Associated General Contractors of Iowa helping build new relationships and raising scholarship funds to help the younger generation in construction. Today he continues to share his life experiences with the 3rd generation of management and his son Chris who took over as owner and President in 2005. Robert stays active not only with the company but enjoys tree farming on his farm south of Ossian and going on tractor rides on his restored International Farmalls. Robert and his wife Cathy have two children Bridget and Chris along with four Granddaughters and one Great-Grandson.

President

Chris began his career in construction at the young age of 12 when his Father Robert left him in the good hands of long time employee Chuck Sender for a few weeks with the underground crew before school began. Since then Chris has been involved in all aspects of the company learning from the best teachers one could ask for. Chris was appointed President in 2005 and continues on the family tradition that Clair Reilly started in 1947. Chris is focused on bringing new challenges and opportunities to Reilly Construction. Chris also has two grown daughters and one grandson.

Executive Vice President

Justin began working at Reilly Construction in the summer of 2001 as a stake setter. In the summer of 2002, he was granted an internship working in our Des Moines office assisting projects and estimating projects. Upon graduating in May of 2003 from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree with distinction in the field of Construction Engineering, he began working full time in the Des Moines office as a Project Manager/Estimator. He later moved to our Ossian office and was promoted to Vice President in 2013. In his free time, Justin enjoys hunting, fishing and a variety of other outdoor activities. Justin and his wife Karla have four children.

Vice President

Jon grew up in Ossian and worked summers at Reilly Construction while attending college. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1994 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jon came to work full time for Reilly Construction and has held many positions from laborer, operator, foreman, project manager and currently is the Division Manager for the Underground Division. He was promoted to Vice President in 2013. Jon and his wife Jessica have three children.

Treasurer

Sandy began her employment with Reilly Construction in 1997 as the Payroll Administrator. In 2000 she accepted the position of Office Coordinator and was responsible for accounts payables and cash management. Sandy was promoted to Controller in 2005 and in 2016 has added the duties of Office Manager to her responsibilities. Sandy received her education at NICC and prior to joining Reilly Construction she worked for Northeast Iowa Farm Business and was the Office Administrator at Hawkeye Coop in Hawkeye, IA. Sandy and her husband have two children and four grandchildren.
